Blog Introduction

I caught on to photographing street art during my middle-age life after moving to Chicago.  Some people don't understand the obsession, but it has become my favorite hobby. I believe one of the reasons is due to being hearing-impaired. I tend to focus on visuals, especially when they involve brightly colored walls. I also love the "chase" aspect leading up to it. It's extra special when I find other murals along the way. I think it's a great pastime for people of all ages, especially if you like photography. Look at photojournalist Martha Cooper. She's still going strong in her 70's.

  • It doesn't cost anything
  • It's an excellent way to explore the city like a local
  • Exercise and fresh air
  • Become more skilled with directions
  • A fun way to practice photography skills
  • The perfect solo activity
